about

1945
The roar of the crowds brought honeybee outside that day. As she walks up to the boy selling papers and asks her what happened the boy simply says, “it's over” and hands her a paper. The paper spells it out clear as day. “VICTORY” In big black ink. But the details of how it ended is more horrifying than any war this world had seen before. The U.S. had made a bomb so destructive, fueled by the very fabric of our universe, and nonetheless used not on military bases, not on soldiers, but on civilians. At what point do the ends justify the means. There is no turning back now, we’ve just taken our first steps into the atomic age.
